Meet James
James Railey
Director of Human Factors
James has 20 years’ experience leading user research and user centered design activities. He has conducted over 100 formative and summative human factors evaluations of medical devices, consumer health, and combination products and has designed complex user interfaces for high-risk products used in surgical procedures and intensive care units.
With an intense interest in ensuring research quality, James loves to discuss all things related to study design, methods, and data collection. In his spare time, he enjoys cooking, gardening, and browsing real estate listings. He holds a B.S. in human factors from Tufts University and MDes from Harvard University Graduate School of Design.
